P5 kicked off their session on direct and indirect speech with a practical session ordering words and symbols to lock in our understanding of the positioning of speech marks! We ‘played’ with the position of the speaking verb to see if it affected the meaning and discovered we can often have the speaking verb ahead of or after the speech and it will still make sense. 😊
