P5 enjoyed a great day of bookish fun and learning today!
From talking about their favourite authors and illustrators, comparing the early editions and more recent work of David Kinney and even presenting their OWN books, our morning started brilliantly.
We then thought about ourselves as readers, reflecting on what we want from the books we read, the genres we prefer and the characters we would love to meet with the BBC live lesson and finishing off with a great wee book vibe rave! (Check out those moves!)
After break, P5 solved the mathematical mystery of the missing glue sticks and flexed their division skills with some mathematical mosaics.
After lunch they participated in the whole school assembly and found out who this week’s star pupils are: well done to Molly who became this week’s star pupil for her curiosity about story telling and tall tales. Her yarn about the pet who went to Australia was laugh out loud funny!
Finally we rounded off the day with some bookish art work.
