Today in class the children have been talking about all the wonderful aspects of using the internet. Lots of them love to talk to friends and family on Skype, FaceTime and WhatsApp video calls. They post pictures and videos of exciting news and fun to their families and friends. Lots of the children got very excited telling me all about the fun games they play online and Roblox got a big cheer from the class. We will be doing activities both at home and at school this week about staying safe online. In the story ‘Digiduck and The Magic Castle’ , we discovered the need for a strong password made up from numbers, letters and symbols and how special and private our passwords are. Eagle Owl in the story helped Digiduck realise just how easy it can be to spend your Mum or Dad’s money online without realising it! It is really important to know all about keeping safe and secure online.
